Chiang Mai, Thailand's northern capital, has numerous temples, cafes, markets, museums, etc...
The Buddhist Temples in Thailand are known as wats, and there are many of these in and around Chiang Mai.

Most Thai males become monks at least for a short while.

Nanjing
From Suzhou, eastern China, it's a short train ride to the city of Nanjing. After checking into my hotel room (which was kind of shabby and smelled of stale cigarette smoke), then requesting a change, I got a room with a fantastic city view.
My room "upgrade" was to a Ladies Only room (the hotel also has Men Only rooms). All rooms on this floor are supposed to be occupied by females, and in the closet are pink nighties instead of the standard robes. I found the room to be cleaner, did not smell like cigarette smoke, and the bathroom area didn't smell of urine (which is sometimes the case in Chinese hotels). For whatever reason, male Chinese often have bad aim:

This little robot is capable of having conversations in Chinese. I'd love to have one at home to practice speaking Chinese.

Suzhou: garden city
We celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary in Suzhou, a beautiful little city in eastern China, not far from Shanghai.
Hotpots are widely available in China, and great for vegans. You pick out the foods you want and then its cooked for you and served up steaming hot.
Suzhou has numerous large traditional Chinese gardens scattered throughout the city.
The wonderful Taoist Temple of Mystery, in central Suzhou just off the large pedestrian street.(The above photo makes me think of Trump.)
Enjoying Chinese green tea at one of Suzhou's many traditional gardens.
I've heard of ice cream cones and pizza cones, but that's the first time I've come across chicken cones.
Good timing for a visit to Suzhou because there happened to be a large temple festival going on.
For some reason there are Chinese who travel around with stuffed animals.

Delhi II
I had lots of good photos from New Delhi, so am posting another dozen. The first six photos are from the wild, crazy, colorful Hanuman Temple.
Another bad air day in Delhi.
No, nothing so mild as a canon -- bringing out the water cannons in preparation for New Years Eve.
Above photo and two below: New Years Eve celebration at the magnificent Sikh temple, Gurdwara Bangla Sahib.
