Delhi

Last stop in India -- the capital, New Delhi. Smoggy air, but still a fascinating city. We took the train from Agra (Taj Mahal) to Delhi, only about a 2-hour ride.

Our hotel room had a great view of the city, but the window was dirty and there were pigeon droppings covering the ledge.I mentioned this upon check-in, and was surprised that within the hour a cleaner appeared outside the window. Even more surprisingly, he returned to wash the window and ledge several times during our 4-day stay.

The above photo and the two below were taken during my sunset visit to India's largest mosque, Jama Masjid.

Making bread in the evening.

We celebrated my 56th birthday at Red Fort, a huge palace complex in Delhi.

A gift from the hotel delivered to our room.
