Fantastical Dazu stone carvings

Chongqing, southwest China, is located on the banks of the famous Yangtze River.
Chongqing's Donghuimen Bridge, which spans the Yangtze.
During my weeklong stay here it has often been cloudy and rainy, likely due to the nearby mountains.
 Night shot of Donghuimen Bridge.
I took this photo from the boat during our night cruise on the Yangtze.
The incredible Dazu Rock Carvings are about a 2-hour drive from Chongqing. Above is the tour guide with some of the people in our group.
Above photo and 5 below: a few of the thousands of rock carvings.

Because Chongqing is fairly far south, there's a wide variety of fruits.
This morning I took the subway out to Ciqikou ancient town, about a 1- hour trip from downtown Chongqing

Lots of spicy foods in Chongqing.
For those really bad hair days.
 Little robotic helper.
 Noodle maker, Ciqikou ancient town.
If you like hot & spicy dishes, you'd love Chongqing cuisine.
