Agra, a city up north near Delhi, is home to the Taj Mahal.
We took the 2nd class sleeper from Mumbai to Agra, about a 20-hour trip, and definitely memorable.
Our first glimpse of the Taj -- a cake the hotel cafe.
Perhaps the most beautiful mausoleum in the world.
As would be expected, you see all sorts of different people at the Taj.
That guy's from Russia, wearing a traditional Russian hat.
We had a number of different tuk tuk drivers in Agra, all with very distinct personalities.
The above photo and the two below were taken at the thriving market area near Jama Mosque.
I couldn't decide which photo I liked better, so I posted them both.
They're pushing some sort of traveling bandwagon, loaded with musical instruments.

Mumbai
Dawn and I had the chance to visit India over the recent holidays. Had a great time (despite some bad air pollution days, particularly in Delhi.)
View from our room of India Gate, and the Arabian Sea. That's a corner of the Taj Palace Hotel on the right, where in 2008 a 3-day terrorist siege took place and 31 people died.
Photo taken on the grounds of Mumbai's biggest and best museum, which also has a really long name -- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya Museum.
One-hour boat ride out to Elephanta Island to see the famous ancient cave temples, a Unesco World Heritage Site.
The seagulls seem to really love the salty snacks.
Lots of monkeys out on Elephanta Island. Right after we arrived, we stopped outside the caves for fruit and cashews but didn't get a chance to eat because 2 monkeys snuck up behind us, grabbed the food and ran up into the trees.
It seems many people from India really don't mind having their picture taken.
Siesta time during the boat ride back to Mumbai from Elephanta. The guy on the right is amused to see that Dawn is taking my photo.
Street shot in Mumbai's famous Colaba District.
